Redmi K20 and K20 Pro Overview

The hype of these two smartphones is rendering around the Country since it launched in China. The Redmi K20 Pro features flagship-level specs and the Redmi k20 has some decent mid-range specs on paper. Both the phones get some similar specs on paper like AMOLED display, Pop-up selfie shooter, in-display fingerprint sensor, etc.

Redmi K20 Specifications

Let’s first talk about the smaller brother that’s Redmi K20, which has a gorgeous 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED edge-to-edge display with the 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a 91.9% screen-to-body ratio. However, the screen and back panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and its display supports HDR content on Youtube, Netflix, etc. The handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730 chipset coupled with Adreno 618 GPU and packs up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB storage. On the software front, like other Redmi devices, the Redmi K20 loaded Miui 10 and Android Pie out of the box.

Now take a closer look at the optics, because it has some decent camera setup. On the back, the triple camera setup is there, one is 48MP Primary sensor, the second one is 13MP wide-angle sensor, and third is an 8MP telephoto lens. The front side of the phone equipped with a 20MP shooter with F/2.2 aperture. The Redmi K20 backed by a 4,000mAh inhouse battery which supports 18W fast charging and having said that the fast charger will be included in the box.

Other additional features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, Dual 4G Vo-LTE, NFC, Wi-Fi, and USB Type-C. Some common sensors are also included like Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Compass and Gyroscope.

It’s time to discuss the flagship killer 2.0, means Redmi K20 Pro, a next-generation flagship by Xiaomi. The new K20 Pro features the same 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display which we have discussed earlier in Redmi K20 specs sheet. Having said that the display quality of both the phones is very much similar. On the other hand, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 is there too on the front as well as the back panel. Unlike K20, the K20 Pro packs powerful Snapdragon 855 chipset with Adreno 640 GPU. In terms of RAM and inbuilt storage, the Redmi K20 pro offers up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of inbuilt storage.

It also runs on Android Pie along with the layering of MIUI 10. The Redmi K20 Pro also provides triple camera set-up with a 48MP primary sensor, 13MP wide-angle lens and an 8MP telephoto lens with 2X zoom. It also supports 4K video recording with 60fps and 960fps slow-motion video recording. This one also backed by 4,000mAh battery along with the support of 18W fast charging.

Other additional features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, Dual 4G Vo-LTE, NFC, Wi-Fi, and USB Type-C. Some common sensors are also included like Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Compass and Gyroscope.

Pricing and availability

Firstly, both the phones will be available on Flipkart and Mi.com from 22nd July at noon. The Redmi K20 priced at Rs 21,999 for 6GB, 64GB variant and Rs 23,999 for 6GB,128GB variant. On the other hand, the Redmi K20 Pro priced at Rs 27,999 for 6GB RAM, 128GB storage variant and 30,999 for 8GB RAM, 256GB storage variant.
