Recently, Nokia 7.1 announced, which is the successor of the previous Nokia 7. As many of you already noticed some differences between Nokia 7.1 and Nokia 6.1 Plus but, is really different from Nokia 6.1 Plus (Nokia X6)? According to our observation, the bottom chin on the Nokia 7.1 is thicker than the chin in Nokia 6.1 Plus. However, the specifications of the phones are also similar up to a great extent apart from the Cameras. Let’s take a look over the specs comparisons.

Nokia 6.1 Plus VS Nokia 7.1 [Specifications]

In terms of performance, the similar output will be delivered by both the phones as the phones are powered by Snapdragon 636 chipset paired with Adreno 509 GPU. The Nokia 7.1 has got 3GB+32GB variant and 4GB+64GB variant. However, the Nokia 6.1 Plus is only available in the 4GB+64GB variant. Both the phone has expandable storage up to 400GB via microSD card.

On the display front, the Nokia 7.1 features 5.84-inch Full HD+ display with the aspect ratio of 19:9. Even the Nokia 6.1 Plus has the same 5.84-inch Full HD display and aspect ratio. The Gorilla Glass 3 protection is there on both the phones. The Nokia 7.1, exclusively, has real-time SDR to HDR conversion using a 16-bit engine.

In terms of Camera, the difference is there on both the phones as the Nokia 7.1 got a 12MP primary rear sensor with F/1.8 aperture and a 5MP sensor with F/2.4 aperture, both the sensors comes with fixed focus and the camera setup features Zeiss optics, EIS, as well as two-phase detection. On the Nokia 6.1 Plus, rear side got a 16MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondery sensor, both the lens has the aperture of F/2.0 and 1 micron pixel size.

Front side, Nokia 7.1 has 8MP lens with F/2.o aperture and fixed focus. On the other hand, the Nokia 6.1 Plus bears an 16MP selfie shooter with F/2.0 aperture.

Battery size of the Nokia 7.1 is 3,060mAh and on the other hand, the Nokia 6.1 Plus also gets the same battery capacity. However, the Nokia 7.1 supports fast charging of 18W and the Nokia 6.1 Plus supports 10W fast charging. Both the phones are come with rear mounted fingerprint scanner and a face unlock authentication.

Nokia 7.1 and Nokia 6.1 Plus, both are running on Stock android version 8.1 Oreo, but the Nokia 7.1 is ready to get Android Pie update next month while, the Android Pie update on the Nokia 6.1 Plus is confirmed to be delivered in October itself.

Pricing of the Phones

The Nokia 6.1 Plus launched a month back at the price tag of Rs 15,999 in India. It is available in Gloss Black, Gloss Midnight Blue and Gloss White colour variants. The phone is Flipkart exclusive product and can be purchased on No Cost EMI as well.

The Nokia 7.1 is Launched in Europe and and its price ranges from EUR 299 (roughly Rs. 25,300) to EUR 349 (about Rs. 29,600), depending on the region it is being sold in. The colour variant are as follows- Gloss Midnight Blue and Gloss Steel. The phone will be available to purchase in Europe by the month end while, the launch of the phone in india is not yet confirmed.
